Compressed air processing
Compressed air quality classes according to DIn ISo 8573
The compressed air quality classed
according to DIN ISO 8573-1 facilitate the
definition of his requirements and the
selection of the treatment components
for the user. The standard is based on
the indications of the manufacturer which
have determined admissible limit values
regarding the purity of compressed air for
their systems and machines.
The standard DIN ISO 8573-1 defines the
quality classes of the compressed air
regarding:
oil content
Determining the remaining quantities of
aerosols and hydrocarbon which may be
contained in the compressed air.
Particle size and density
Determining the size and concentration of
particulates which may still be contained
Particle (dirt) water (condensate) oil
Particle density
in mg/m³ max.
Pressure dew point
in °C
in the compressed air.
Pressure dew point
Determining the temperature to which it
is possible to cool down the compressed
air without causing that the water vapour
included in the compressed air is being
condensed.
to the air pressure.
