This exhibition takes a fresh look at the degree
and variety of classical heritage and its
formation in antipodean culture.
Examples of painting, ceramics, decorative
arts and styles of architecture will be considered
in terms of the local and as seen from the end of
the millennium.
How the history of modern philately has
interpreted the classical subject beyond its
reference to place or ethnicity will also be
addressed in this forthcoming exhibition. The
Post Master Gallery is located within the
National Philatelic Centre, at 321 Exhibition
Street, Melbourne.

The new 2000 Stamp Printing Technical Details booklet
includes information from January 1999 to June 2000.
It includes specifications for:
• commemorative and special issues
• reprints
• items overprinted for stamp shows and philatelic
exhibitions where Australia Post has been
represented (including Australia 99)
• photographs of uncut sheets of interest.
The booklet is priced at $10.00 and is on sale from 4
December 2000. It is available only by mail order from
the Australian Philatelic Bureau.
