Each stamp issue is numbered. If there is more than one stamp in an issue, stamps within that
issue each have their own letter for individual identification. Indicate your preference by filling in
the stamp or issue number as appropriate. For example if your favourite issue was Nature of
Australia: Coastal, you would indicate this by writing 3. If the Polly Woodside was your favourite
Australian stamp you would indicate this by writing 8a.

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents who are readers of the Stamp Bulletin or visit www.auspost.com.au/stamps. Employees of Australia Post and
their immediate families, and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. To enter, entrants must complete the official entry
form and either send it to PO Box 914 South Melbourne 3205 or complete the on-line form at www.auspost.com.au/stamps. Limit of one entry per
person. No responsibility accepted for lost, late or misdirected mail.
3. Promotion commences 11 December 1999. Entries close last mail 25 February 2000. The draw will take place at 3.30 pm, at 1A Coulson Street,
Erskineville NSW on 15 March 2000. Winners will be notified by mail. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
4. The first 20 entries drawn will each win a 1999 Collection of Australian Stamps valued at $57.95. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and
cannot be taken as cash.
5. All entries become the property of the Promoter. All entries will be entered into a database and the Promoter may use the entrants’ names and
addresses for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.

of Australian and Australian Antarctic Territory
stamps. The new catalogue contains listings
and high quality colour photographs of
Australian pre-decimal stamps issued from
1913 to 1966 and Australian decimal stamps
issues from 1966 to June 1999.
Information about first day covers,
miniature sheets, booklet panes, self-adhesive
stamps and Frama labels are also included in
the catalogue.
The compact catalogue, measuring just 148
mm x 210 mm, is ideal for all philatelists –
whether they are advanced collectors or just

Comprehensive Colour Catalogue
of Australian Stamps
In the August-September Bulletin it was
incorrectly stated that this catalogue covered
Australian Commonwealth pre-decimal and
decimal stamps issued from 1978 up to the end
of March 1999. In fact, this date refers to prestamped
envelopes only.
The catalogue actually covers all Australian
stamp issues, not only from Federation (1913)
but from the Colonies’ issues prior to
Federation – one of the few catalogues on the
market to cover all Australian issues – up to the
end of March 1999.
