Ordering postmark impressions by mail<br />

Please forward fully <strong>stamp</strong>ed and addressed covers,<br />

under prepaid outer envelopes, to post office addresses listed on these pages.<br />

• Endorse cover in the top left corner with the name of the postmark required.<br />

• Orders must be lodged before the last day of use of the postmarker.<br />

National FDI <strong>Post</strong>marks and Commemorative <strong>Post</strong>marks<br />

• These may be ordered from the <strong>Australia</strong>n Philatelic Bureau.<br />

Associated <strong>Post</strong>marks and Permanent Pictorial <strong>Post</strong>marks<br />

• These should be ordered directly from the post office concerned.<br />

• A minimum base-rate 45c <strong>stamp</strong> is required to obtain a postmark impression.<br />

• Serviced covers are 70c each, unless otherwise specified.<br />

National FDI <strong>Post</strong>marks<br />

First day covers, serviced with national first<br />

day of issue postmarks, are available from all<br />

First Day of Issue <strong>Post</strong> Offices and by mail<br />

order from the <strong>Australia</strong>n Philatelic Bureau<br />

for four weeks.<br />

Private covers can only be serviced:<br />

• at the designated post office on the day of issue<br />

OR<br />

• by the Bureau if covers are received prior to the<br />

first day of issue.<br />

1 January Face of <strong>Australia</strong><br />

There are five different first day covers for the<br />

Face of <strong>Australia</strong> <strong>stamp</strong> issue. Each cover carries<br />

the names of the individuals whose <strong>stamp</strong>s<br />

appear on the first day covers. First day covers and<br />

blank first day covers will be sold in sets of five.<br />
