107. At the moment, features that are not directly available in SBEM include:
i. automatic blind control,
ii. external shading in the plane of the window,
iii. atria where there is ventilation driven by the stack effect, and
iv. transfer of daylight between internal zones.
Users of the Software
108. It is the responsibility of the users of the software tools to be adequately informed
on whether the tool they are using can either directly assess all the features that
affect the energy performance of the building, or include acceptable workarounds
for the features that cannot be directly modelled. According to this, users are
expected to make a decision on the suitability of using the software tool to model a
particular building.
