Anacka : Consonant without a vowel.<br />

Aniihata : Interior automatic sound without any impact.<br />

Anugraha : Grace.<br />

Anuttara : The Incomparable, the Highest; the letter 'a' ('f).<br />

Anusviira : Nasal sound on the top of a letter; representation<br />

of Siva.<br />

Antarvyoma : The interior space where pra{la and apana are<br />

dissolved.<br />

Apara : Lower, immanent.<br />

Apiina : The breath of inhalation going down towards the anus.<br />

Soma and jlva are synonyms of apiina.<br />

Amrta : Ambrosia; the spiritual state in which further involution<br />

in matter is annulled.<br />

Artha : Object, goal, sense, perfect comprehension of reality.<br />

ardhacandra : Lit., demi-Iunar; the second stage in the ardhamalra<br />

(half of a mora) in the japa or recitation of Aum;<br />

subtle energy of sound.<br />

Ardhendu : -do-<br />

A vasthii : State; condition.<br />

Avikalpa : Intuitive apprehension, free of all thought-construct.<br />

Asiinya : Non-void.<br />

Aham : I, absolute I.<br />

Ahantii : The state of absolute I: interiority : I-cQnsciousness.<br />

AhaIllkiira : Ego, ego-hood; the I-making principle.<br />

Akiisa : Space; ether; the sky; the infinite;<br />

Agama : Revealed text, traditional knowledge.
