Part international glamour, part tropical ease, Paradise Island is 685 acres of extraordinary
beauty linked by bridges to New Providence Island and Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas.
This bustling island pair offers a mixture of attractions – fine dining, fresh fish markets, water sports, and
boutique shopping. English is spoken here and American currency is welcome. Nassau/Paradise Island
brings families together. Even parents begin acting like children themselves. It’s easy when surrounded by an
incredible number of things to do as a family, including beaches, water parks, snorkeling, dolphins, and trips
to an underwater world. Some of the many activities on the water include diving, swimming with dolphins,
fishing, sailing, sunset cruises, kite boarding, and power boating to cays and private islands. While on land,
you can visit downtown Nassau for shopping on Bay Street or, for high-end, duty-free luxuries, at the Straw
Market. Take a horse-and-buggy tour of downtown to see historic Balcony House, Pompey Museum, the
National Art Gallery, and the changing of the guard at Government House. Visit Arawak Cay for a genuine
Bahamian-style lunch with fresh seafood and cold drinks. Take the kids to the Ardastra Zoo and Gardens
to see the Marching Flamingos and to the Pirates of Nassau museum. When the night sets in, you can visit
one of the hot dance clubs or casinos, or find a more laid back bar for relaxation and conversation. For more
