Manuscript and engraved maps in the collection show fortifications
and troop positions at Gettysburg, Pa., and Yorktown,
Groveton, Petersburg, and Five Forks, Va. Also includes a map
of the area from Gettysburg to Appomattox Courthouse annotated
to show the marches and battles of the 118th Pennsylvania
Volunteers. Notes, regimental indexes, and lists of officers
and battles in the collection were used in Frederick H. Dyers'
Compendium of the War of the Rebellion (1909).
