on Burnside's attack on Confederate forces near Washington,<br />

N.C., problems with counterfeit money, <strong>the</strong> bombardment <strong>of</strong><br />

Fort McAllister and <strong>the</strong> sinking <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> C.S.S. Nashville, attacks<br />

prisoners <strong>of</strong> <strong>war</strong> T. F. Mitchell and William M. Mitchell, 1865,<br />
