Munfordville, Ky., Col. John Thomas Wilder's surrender to<br />

Gen. Braxton Bragg, and <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Nashville (1864). Includes<br />

remarks on camp life, disease, discipline, entertainment,<br />

slavery, black life, religion in <strong>the</strong> Federal Army, guerrilla<br />

<strong>war</strong>fare, supplies, <strong>the</strong> displacement <strong>of</strong> noncombatants, foraging<br />

expeditions, <strong>the</strong> attitude <strong>of</strong> noncombatants, troop movements<br />
