exchange, and <strong>the</strong> participation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 20th Massachusetts in<br />

<strong>the</strong> Peninsular, Antietam, and Gettysburg campaigns. Includes<br />

remarks on camp life, morale, marches, discipline, supplies,<br />

casualties, promotions, disease, slavery, and black life. Also<br />

contains letters to Revere <strong>from</strong> various <strong>of</strong>ficers in <strong>the</strong> regiment<br />

during his convalescence <strong>from</strong> a wound received at <strong>the</strong> Battle<br />

<strong>of</strong> Sharpsburg.<br />
