served as a colonel in <strong>the</strong> 70th Indiana Volunteers, includes<br />

letters <strong>from</strong> Harrison to his wife written <strong>from</strong> camps in<br />

Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and<br />

Georgia concerning camp life, discipline, desertions, marches,<br />

disease, hospital care, courts-martial, and conditions in <strong>the</strong><br />

South. Includes a few details on battles and skirmishes in <strong>the</strong><br />

Atlanta Campaign. Also contains Harrison's commissions, a<br />

muster roll <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 70th Indiana Regiment, and a manuscript<br />

map <strong>of</strong> DeKalb County, Ga., in 1864.<br />
