7.11 Updating the software<br />
One possibility for data backup is available under System > Backup:<br />
• Backup: all user-specific data are saved on USB stick.<br />
• Restore: the user-specific data saved with "Backup" are imported in the<br />
software.<br />
1. Select System > Backup.<br />
"Backup and Restore" appears.<br />
2. For backup put an USB stick into an USB socket.<br />
or<br />
- For restore put the USB stick with the saved data into an USB socket.<br />
3. Follow the instructions on the display.<br />
In addition to this possibility there are 3 more possibilities for data backup and<br />
data exchange:<br />
• File manager (see page 4-26).<br />
• Network.<br />
• Compact Flash card in card reader.<br />
1. Select System > Update.<br />
"System Update" appears.<br />
2. Put the USB stick with the update files into an USB socket.<br />
3. Select .<br />
4. Wait for request to reboot the control.<br />
5. Switch off control <strong>UMC</strong> <strong>112</strong> and let it switched off for at least 20 s.<br />
