Lectotype male (selected by Fouts, 1924b, p. 69), USNM no. 2291;<br />
Pariah, Utah, from a cecidomyiid gall on Artemisia tridentata,<br />
A. L. Siler; antennae missing. The only other specimen in the type<br />
material is a male which belongs to the genus Synopeas. Contrary<br />
to Fouts, who stated that he was selecting a female as lectotype,<br />
there is no female in the type material and the specimen which bears<br />
his "Type" label is a male.<br />
