Lectotype male (selected by Fouts, 1924b, p. 69), USNM no. 2291;
Pariah, Utah, from a cecidomyiid gall on Artemisia tridentata,
A. L. Siler; antennae missing. The only other specimen in the type
material is a male which belongs to the genus Synopeas. Contrary
to Fouts, who stated that he was selecting a female as lectotype,
there is no female in the type material and the specimen which bears
his "Type" label is a male.
