1 <strong>The</strong>se codes indicate the status of a work request in the maintenance shops at all levels. <strong>The</strong>se codes are applicable to all SAMS and ULLS forms which<br />

have a STA block. <strong>The</strong> following describes the usage and rules of each code:<br />

Code Description<br />

2 Stops NMC time. Item remains in the maintenance activity for non-NMC work, for example, painting. Must be followed by a<br />

valid work request status code.<br />

3 Restart NMC time. Must be preceded by a "2" (which stops NMC time). Must be followed by a valid work request status<br />

code.<br />

Notes:<br />

1 <strong>The</strong>se codes are maintenance indicator codes that denote the NMC status of a work request in the maintenance shops. <strong>The</strong>se codes are only used with<br />

work orders that have a "0" or "2" in the sixth position of the ORG WON that identify reportable inoperative equipment. A "0" denotes reportable ground or<br />

missile equipment, and "2" denotes reportable aircraft. <strong>The</strong>se codes are applicable to all SAMS forms which have a STA block, and are intended to provide<br />

units and higher headquarters with timely AMSS status. <strong>The</strong>se codes are SAMS unique and are not required for non-automated units.<br />
