Sense Scotl<strong>and</strong> works <strong>with</strong> people who are<br />
deafblind multiply impaired. Deafblindness rarely<br />
means total deafness or blindness, most have<br />
some useful vision <strong>and</strong> hearing. All need help<br />
<strong>with</strong> communication, in<strong>for</strong>mation, learning <strong>and</strong><br />
mobility.<br />
Advisory Services: <strong>In<strong>for</strong>mation</strong> & Advice;<br />
Identifying services <strong>and</strong> resources; Learning,<br />
communication <strong>and</strong> behaviour; contact <strong>with</strong> other<br />
families <strong>and</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />
Together <strong>for</strong> short lives is there to help parents,<br />
family members <strong>and</strong> carers <strong>of</strong> children who have<br />
been diagnosed <strong>with</strong> a health condition which<br />
means they may not live to reach adulthood.<br />
They help by providing families <strong>with</strong> resources,<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>and</strong> support to make sure you know<br />
what you are entitled to, <strong>and</strong> have the knowledge<br />
you need to be able to make choices <strong>and</strong> stay in<br />
control <strong>of</strong> your child's care.<br />
