13.2 In such circumstances a re-referral back to the county wide [SINGLE ACCESS POINT] for further support and assistance in
accessing accommodation should be made.
13.3 It is anticipated that young people falling outside of the Housing and Children Act’s for the purpose of accommodation will
continue to be supported by the CAF process and that a robust support plan will be in place.
Dispute resolution and concerns
14.1 This protocol is intended to minimize disputes and encourage open and respectful dialogue.
14.2 Differences of opinion over the responsibility and proposed action should be dealt with by the caseworker in each
department. If the issue cannot be resolved at this level the matter should be referred jointly to the respective team
managers for resolution. All dispute resolution and resulting decisions will be taken in the spirit of this protocol and
recognizing the need for effective interagency working
14.3 Managers will then determine an appropriate course of action in the context of the disagreement from a range of options
listed below.
