6.2 Proposed recommendations
R1 That Cabinet Executive consider and respond to the refreshed Protocol
when approved by the Chief Housing Officer Group at the end of
October 2012.
R2 Blaby District Council’s officers work with County and District networks
to improve data collection and presentation of information to provide a
better picture of homelessness across the County that will assist in
developing the service.
R3 That Social Services Children & Young Peoples Services and the
Housing Options Manager report back to Cabinet in six months and
provide
• Year end figures and benchmarking data
• Impact of the refreshed Protocol
• Assessment of the working relationship
R4 With the majority of homeless accommodation being in the City,
Blaby’s Health and Community Service Manager via the Chief Housing
Officer Group continues on behalf of Districts to identify if provision can
be secured for County residents
