5. EXTERNAL IMPACTS
No issues to be addressed.
6. RISK AND LEGAL IMPLICATIONS
No issues to be addressed beyond meeting the statutory obligation to adopt Annual
Estimates.
7. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
The Estimates provide statutory authorisation for recurrent and capital expenditure for
2012/2013. Based on the draft Estimates, the required net increase in rating effort
will be 3.4%, or 3.9% excluding the effects of the State Government Fire Services
Contribution.
8. ANY OTHER UNIQUE ISSUES
Following adoption of the Estimates, a draft Annual Plan will be prepared for
consideration by Council at a future Meeting. Council is required to adopt an Annual
Plan each year.
9. CONCLUSION
9.1. The attached Estimates reflect a range of issues considered by Aldermen
through the budget development process.
9.2. The overall increase in rating effort required to meet the proposed expenditure
levels is 3.4% net of growth or 3.9% excluding the effects of the State
Government Fire Services Contribution.
