For <strong>the</strong> next nine months,<br />

Dupre Hall is <strong>the</strong> place you<br />

will call home! Dupre Hall is<br />

located on <strong>the</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>ast<br />

corner <strong>of</strong> campus, at <strong>the</strong><br />

corner <strong>of</strong> Summit and Snel-<br />

Welcome to Doty Hall! Your new<br />

home is located on Summit Avenue<br />

between Wallace and Dupre <strong>Halls</strong>.<br />

Doty Hall was built in 1964 and fea-<br />

tures single-sex floors and one gen-<br />

der neutral floor ~ <strong>the</strong> 3rd floor hous-<br />

es men while 2, 4 and 5 house wom-<br />

en and 1 is gender neutral. Doty<br />

houses over 170 first-years in single<br />

and double rooms with sinks. Each<br />

floor has a lounge with a television.<br />

my undergraduate work at Western Illinois University and graduate<br />

work at Iowa State University. I’m real big on quality time, especially<br />

when it includes conversation, food, and lots <strong>of</strong> laughter. I love a<br />

good non-fiction read, traveling, and <strong>the</strong> arts. A good chat over<br />

c<strong>of</strong>fee is always welcomed!<br />

Doty-Turck <strong>Residence</strong> Hall Director: Finn Schneider<br />

Hello! I am Finn Schneider, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Residence</strong> Hall Director (RHD) for Doty-Turck.<br />

I am responsible for helping to foster a strong sense <strong>of</strong> community in Doty<br />

and Turck as well as supervising <strong>the</strong> 8 Resident Assistants (RAs) that live and<br />

work in Doty and Turck.<br />

Originally from Menominee, Michigan, I completed my undergraduate degree<br />

in psychology at The <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.<br />

From <strong>the</strong>re, I participated in a yearlong post-college volunteer program in<br />

St. Paul during which I worked at St. Ca<strong>the</strong>rine University. My next step<br />

brought me to <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Vermont where I completed my Masters in<br />

Higher Education and Student Affairs. Now I am starting my third year as a<br />

Hall Director at Mac. I’m looking forward to <strong>the</strong> arrival <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> class <strong>of</strong> <strong>2016</strong>!<br />

In my spare time I like to ride my bike, read, cook, and explore <strong>the</strong> Twin Cities.<br />

I am passionate about social justice and find <strong>the</strong> most rewarding part<br />

Hi my name is Nassim Sarkarati. I'm from Madison,<br />

WI. I'm a biology major and chemistry<br />

minor. I transferred to Mac from UW-Madison<br />

a year ago. I love doing hot yoga, biking<br />

around <strong>the</strong> cities, and learning about new<br />

cultures and <strong>the</strong>ir gastronomy. Besides <strong>the</strong><br />

friendly and highly academic environment at<br />

Mac, I absolutely love <strong>Macalester</strong>'s omelets.<br />

My name is Es<strong>the</strong>r Biesse.<br />

I am a senior here at Mac, majoring in Psychology<br />

and minoring in Math. It is my second<br />

I am Tanzanian and was born in Dar-es-salaam, but I also<br />

have lived a good 13 years <strong>of</strong> my life in Swaziland. I am<br />

a sophomore and I am planning<br />

to major in Psychology with a minor<br />

in Biology.My hobbies include<br />

going for walks, reading novels,<br />

watching movies, playing pool,<br />

dancing, hanging out with friends<br />

and occasionally cooking. Yes, I<br />

like doing a lot <strong>of</strong> things and I<br />

especially love trying out new<br />

Richard Raya – RA Dupre 5 East<br />

Yo, everyone! I’m Richard and I’m from Berkeley,<br />

CA-- I’ve got three bro<strong>the</strong>rs, three cats, two step-siblings<br />

and two massive Mastiffs. I love my home city and state,<br />

but MN and Mac are an amazing new home. I’ve got a<br />

lot <strong>of</strong> interests and try to do as much as I can, and am<br />

involved in comedy, martial arts, and <strong>the</strong> Mac Weekly.<br />

When <strong>the</strong> time is write, I also love writing short stories and<br />

<strong>the</strong> like. Political Science, American Studies, Philosophy<br />

and English all hold my interests. What I enjoy most <strong>of</strong> all<br />

is talking and laughing with friends new and old; I’m<br />

always ready to chat about social justice, Star Wars, my<br />

lifelong fascination with heroes/super-heroes (namely Spider-Man) or, you<br />

know, whatever you feel like talking about!
