The Preferred Alternative encourages infill in unincorporated communities, or expansion where there is community support or if it is determined to be in the community’s best interest. This site is located outside the Urban Community of Lockeford. Community Workshop #3 participants in Lockeford preferred growth be directed within existing urban areas. County Staff Recommendation: No. Staff anticipates continuing the policy direction of the 2010 General Plan, which states that there will be no significant expansion of the growth area of Lockeford until solutions to the congestion on SR 12 and SR 88 have been developed and implemented.
