clear explanation from
management for the difference
between the two sets of reports.
Furthermore there was no list of
all programs and commercial
advertisements aired. Due to
limitation with respect to the
recording and accuracy of revenue
transactions the completeness of
the programs and commercial
revenue could not be
substantiated with appropriate
audit evidence by using other
audit procedures. We are
therefore uncertain on the
completeness of the commercial
revenue of Tshs 5,420,214,926
included in the financial
statements.
Property, plant and equipment
TBC engaged a professional valuer
to carry out valuation of all its
fixed assets. By the time of our
audit, the final valuation report
was yet to be produced. Non
currents assets balances included
in these financial statements
therefore do not include the
results of the valuation. As
reported in the previous year non
current assets mostly from legacy
Radio Tanzania include all
buildings, equipment and
