REGULAR BOARD HEETING<br />

HARCH 17, 1993<br />

TOWN HALL<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

Jf-Councilman Wittmeyer reported oh the Traffic Safety Committee<br />

Meeting that was held on March 9, 1993. Traffic Safety<br />

Committee is recommending that we do petition the County or<br />

State to ask for another study oh Back Creek <strong>Road</strong> near the<br />

school to see if they will put additional signage or a light.<br />

Councilman Wittmeyer made a motion seconded by Supervisor<br />

Kennedy to send a request to the State or County for a study on<br />

Back Creek <strong>Road</strong> near the school for additional signage or light<br />

and speed reduction to 15 mph.<br />

five (5) Ayes Carried<br />

Councilman Wittmeyer asked on behalf of the Traffic Safety<br />

Committee that the Town install "Playground" sign on Meadow<br />

Drive at both sides of the entry to the North Boston Stadium.<br />

Traffic Safety also asked that the Town follow-up on the request<br />

that the E.Z. Shoppe move the mail boxes to obtain clear sight<br />

on the State <strong>Road</strong>.<br />

Councilman Wittmeyer reported that Sgt. Broderick and Trooper<br />

Carpenter responded to the complaints received regarding the<br />

cars blocking visibility at So. Abbott and Herman Hill <strong>Road</strong><br />

requesting that the cars be removed from the lot or kept back<br />

from the corner. This will be closely monitored.<br />

Councilman Wittmeyer reported that a section of the new Town Law<br />

Manual received last month, contained a section that towns may<br />

post their own road sigris, such as stop signs, yield signs, etc.<br />

this was referred to Town Attorney Perley for review and have<br />

asked him for an opinion.<br />

Erie County Sheriff's Report for February 1993 received and on<br />

file in the Town Clerk's Office.<br />

A motion was made by Councilman Flowers and seconded by<br />

Councilman Zinmerman to adjourn the meeting at 8:55 P.M.<br />
