REGULAR BOARD HEETING
HARCH 3, 1993

7:30 P.M.
Deputy Supervisor Hittmeyer commented that when the bids were
opened that the alternate bid from Bison Truck Center, Inc. was
a truck that they had on the lot in stock and it did not meet
the specifications.
Councilman Flowers questioned how there could be a difference of
eight thousand ($8,000.00) dollars between Roberts Equipment's
bid and Valley Truck & Equipment's bid?

asked if Roberts Equipment met the
Highway Superintendent Ruchalski responded that in most cases
Roberts Equipment exceeded the specifications. And also, that he
had told Hark with Roberts Equipment that he would be
periodically checking the truck as they are working on it. Any
time that the specifications are not met he will not accept the
truck.
A motion was made by Councilman Wittmeyer and seconded by
Councilman Wohlhueter at the recommendation of Highway
Superintendent Ruchalski to award the bid for Truck and Cab and
Chassis to Hanson International at $49,425.00 with-out trade in.

A motion was made by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by Deputy
Supervisor Hittmeyer at the recommendation of Highway
Superintendent Ruchalski to award the bid for the Front Hitch to
Roberts Equipment at $24,972.00 including screens.

RESOLUTION 1993 10 AUTHORIZING THE DEPUTY SUPERVISOR
OR THE SUPERVISOR AND THE HIGHHAY
SUPERINTENDENT TO SIGN THE FINAL
PLAT FOR THE SZALAY SUBDIVISION
Town Attorney Perley following the bids for the Ambulance Garage
Addition he was contracted by a Representative of Allstate who
was the low bidder that was rejected. Town Attorney Perley
advised him that the action of the Town Board was the awarding
of the Bid and he professed to be more concerned with the fact
that his client had been unreasonably slandered by the reports
that had been communicated to the Board. Upon his request the
Town Attorney advised him that he would ask the Board to fully
review his qualifications in the event that he ever wanted to
bid again. The Town Attorney will report to the Board when he
hears from him.
COUNCILMEN REPORT
Councilman Flowers received a letter from the Erie County
Democratic Committee concerning their new Internship Program.
These Internships shall intended foi college credit a monetary
stipend will not be expected.
Councilman Flowers presented this offer to the Board Members ahd
asked if they would have an interest in the town utilizing this
program.
Deputy Supervisor Hittmeyer suggested that this should be held
for Supervisor Kennedy to review.
Councilman Hohlhueter met with Dale Morris from the Erie County
Department of Environment and Planning regarding the recycling
program and solid waste disposal in the town. He was very
