Deputy Supervisor Wittmeyer mentioned that the Town Clerk and
the Traffic Safety Committee have sent in letters to the County
requesting repair of the Boston State Road in the Hamlet of
Boston.
TOHN CLERK' REPORT
A) Registrar of Vital Statistics Report for February 1993
on file in the Clerk's Office.
Town Clerk Shenk reminded everyone that the taxes are due March
15th and that ori the last few days his office will be open as
follows: Friday, March 12th till 8 P.M., Saturday, March 13th
from 9:00 A.M. till 3 P.M., Sunday, March 14th from 12:00 P.M.
till 5 P.m. arid on Monday, March 15th 9:00 A.M. till 9:00 P.M.
SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS
Superintendent of Highways Ruchalski thanked the Town Board for
authorizing him to attend the Annual Seminar and Meeting of the
Association of Towns in New York City.
Superintendent Ruchalski reported that as of the first of the
year there is talk about discontinuing the CHIPS Program. He
met with the state and they are going to continue the CHIPS
Program for 1993 and there will be a raise. Last year we
received thirty-three thousand, four hundred and forty-four
dollars ($33,444.00). This year we will receive thirty-four
thousand, seven hundred and ninety-three dollars ($34,793.00).
Superintendent Ruchalski reported that the new Loader, John
Deere 544G is in with some new modifications. The price was
fifty-eight thousand, four hundred and twenty-three dollars
($58,423.00) and they are allowing us fifty-six thousand
dollars ($56,000.00) for John Deere 544E. Bringing our cost to
two thousand, four hundred and twenty-three dollars ($2,423.00)
with a five year warranty.
The new Brush Pick-Up schedule will be going out for 1993. The
first pick-up will be the first and third monday of April.
Bid Specifications on a new truck were opened on February 1,
1993 which resulted as follows:
