REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />

MARCH 3, 1993<br />

TOWN HALL<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

Deputy Supervisor Wittmeyer mentioned that the Town Clerk and<br />

the Traffic Safety Committee have sent in letters to the County<br />

requesting repair of the Boston State <strong>Road</strong> in the Hamlet of<br />

Boston.<br />

TOHN CLERK' REPORT<br />

A) Registrar of Vital Statistics Report for February 1993<br />

on file in the Clerk's Office.<br />

Town Clerk Shenk reminded everyone that the taxes are due March<br />

15th and that ori the last few days his office will be open as<br />

follows: Friday, March 12th till 8 P.M., Saturday, March 13th<br />

from 9:00 A.M. till 3 P.M., Sunday, March 14th from 12:00 P.M.<br />

till 5 P.m. arid on Monday, March 15th 9:00 A.M. till 9:00 P.M.<br />

SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS<br />

Superintendent of Highways Ruchalski thanked the Town Board for<br />

authorizing him to attend the Annual Seminar and Meeting of the<br />

Association of Towns in New York City.<br />

Superintendent Ruchalski reported that as of the first of the<br />

year there is talk about discontinuing the CHIPS Program. He<br />

met with the state and they are going to continue the CHIPS<br />

Program for 1993 and there will be a raise. Last year we<br />

received thirty-three thousand, four hundred and forty-four<br />

dollars ($33,444.00). This year we will receive thirty-four<br />

thousand, seven hundred and ninety-three dollars ($34,793.00).<br />

Superintendent Ruchalski reported that the new Loader, John<br />

Deere 544G is in with some new modifications. The price was<br />

fifty-eight thousand, four hundred and twenty-three dollars<br />

($58,423.00) and they are allowing us fifty-six thousand<br />

dollars ($56,000.00) for John Deere 544E. Bringing our cost to<br />

two thousand, four hundred and twenty-three dollars ($2,423.00)<br />

with a five year warranty.<br />

The new Brush Pick-Up schedule will be going out for 1993. The<br />

first pick-up will be the first and third monday of April.<br />

Bid Specifications on a new truck were opened on February 1,<br />

1993 which resulted as follows:<br />
