L -^ ] REGULAR BOARD MEETING FEBRUARY 17, 1993 TOWN HALL 7:30 P.M. Supervisor Kennedy asked the Town Clerk to draw up a letter to our Legislatures indicating our concern with the proposal that has been offered by Governor Mario Cuomo. Letter from Rolfe S. Porter, Executive Engineer, Erie County Water Authority. Re: Hickory Meadows Subdivision Town of Boston. It is our conclusion from test results that we cannot approve service to a portion of the proposed subdivision. These facts have been conveyed to the consulting engineer and have discussed the test results with Hr. Bob Pettit. Supervisor Kennedy commented that when the Board approved the Hickory Meadows Subdivision that it was brought to our attention by Councilman Flowers that he was concerned with the water pressure at the southern end of the community. We also, have had this same report from the Boston Fire Department. Town Attorney Perley commented that it is the developers responsibility to satisfy the Planning Board that there is water available. There are standards within the Erie County Hater Authority Tariff and the Lease Management Agreement which provide for the Hater Authority to deny service when the Water Authority Main must be appropriate to the service demanded. Supervisor Kennedy, Town Engineer Pettit and I have been working on this problem. Letter received from Haria Martens, Coordinator, E.C. STOP-DWI, Re: 1992 STOP-DWI contract received and on file in the Town Clerk's Office. Letter received from Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, Re: Lower East Hill Road reconstruction, resurfacing. Supervisor Kennedy commented that this letter is notification from the State that the County is going to do the SEQR study on the Lower East Hill Road and they are going to seek a negative declaration. Modifications of the original plans have been made with the same ten foot (10') driving lanes, four foot (4') shoulder. However, the area of disturbances has been reduced by minimizing the shoulder area, which result in deeper ditches. This will result in less trees being cut down and less disruption of shrubbery along the highway and perhaps alleviating some of the concerns of many of the property owners. On February 1, 1993, bids for the Ambulance Garage Addition were publicly opened and read aloud as follows: Contract A: General Contractor Allstate Maintenance Co., Inc. Feddington-Allen, Inc. L.G.T.
