REGULAR BOARD HEETING FEBRUARY 17, 1993 TOHN HALL 7:30 P.M. Present were Councilman Mark W. Flowers, Councilman Don A. Hohlhueter, Councilman Milton I. Hittmeyer, Supervisor Richard L. Kennedy, Town Attorney Michael F. Perley. Absent were Councilman David G. Zimmerman, Superintendent of Highways Eugene E. Ruchalski. A motion was made by Councilman Flowers and seconded by Supervisor Kennedy to accept the correction and adoption of the minutes of the February 3, 1993 Regular Honthly Meeting. four (4) Ayes Carried A motion was made by Councilman Hohlhueter and seconded by Councilman Flowers that the General Fund and Special District Bills on Abstract #2A, dated February 17, 1993 in the amOunt of $94,157.90 be paid. four (4) Ayes Carried A motion was made by Councilman Wittmeyer and seconded by Supervisor Kennedy that the Highway Bills on Abstract #2A, dated February 17, 1993 in the amount of $8,129.26 be paid. four (4) Ayes Carried A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by Councilman Flowers to accept the Town Clerk's Monthly Report for January 1993. four (4) Ayes Carried Letter received from N.Y. Assemblyman Francis J, Pordum, Re: Governor Cuomo's 1993-94 budget for revenue sharing and CHIPS, received and on file in the Town Clerk's Office. Resolution received from the Town of Eden, Re; Dedicated Highway and Bridge Trust Fund. RESOLUTION 1993 - 6 DEDICATED HIGHWAY AND BRIDGE TRUST FUND Letter received from Barrett Kreisberg, Chairman, N.Y.S. Board of Equalization and Assessment, Re: Local Services Program. Supervisor Kennedy commented that we will continue to maintain the high quality of our assessment rolls. It is unfortunate that the State Board of Equalization and Assessment is being limited in their services. Letter received from James E. Wheeler, President, American Federation of Government Employees Local 2930, Re: Proposed Corp of Engineers Reorganization. Supervisor Kennedy directed the Town Clerk to draft a letter in support of Mr. Wheeler's efforts to maintain the status quo in the Buffalo area. Also, to direct a letter to Congressman Jack Quinn, Senator D'Amato and Senator Moynihan. Letter from Alan J. Laurita, V.P. oil and gas regulatory program. Envirogas, Inc., Re: State Supervisor Kennedy commented that there is no way that a small municipality such as the Town of Boston could monitor the care and dismantling of gas wells in the area. This certainly is a state function and should remain so, where they have the expertise to do so. • L A A
