REGULAR BOARD MEETING
FEBRUARY 3, 1993

7:30 P.M.
A motion was made by supervisor Kennedy and seconded by
Councilman Flowers to authorize Town Clerk Shenk to purchase a
Bulk Rate Hailing Permit - 1st Class to be used for mailing out
tax bills. Annual Permit Pee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00).
A one time purchase fee to purchase a plug from Pitney Bowes of
approximately forty dollars ($40.00).

Town Clerk Shenk advised the Board that his application for
Records Management Grant was mailed out on Honday, February 1,
1993. What will be applied for in this grant is steel shelving
for the downstairs and upstairs vaults. The purpose is to
replace the wooden shelving now being used to store records.
Also, for one cubic foot record storage boxes. These will
replace the current boxes that are large drawer-like boxes. The
one cubic feet boxes are what the State Archives and Records
Administration recommend. He also, would like to get the Sara
Software which will be used to computerize the records inventory
and help in maintaining the Records Hanagement Program.
SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHHAYS
Specifications for a heavy duty single axle dump truck were
placed out and the bids were opened on Honday, February 1, 1993.
He received four bids on the cabin chassis from Bison Ford,
Hansen International, Buffalo Hat and Hhite. Also, on the snow
plow, wing, hydraulics and fhe^box we received two bids one from
Valley Equipment and one from Roberts Equipment.
Highway Superintendent Ruchalski would like to table the awards
until the next Town Board Heeting on February 17, 1993 as he has
not had time to review the bids thoroughly. This will be ready
for the next meeting.
CODNCILMEN
Councilman Flowers commented that the Town of Cheektowaga has
agreed to sell us streetlight standards from them at the price
of two hundred dollars ($200.00) a piece. This is a tremendous
savings over the purchase a new light standard.
Councilman Hohlhueter announced that the Solid Haste Committee
will be meeting next Thursday night, February 11, 1993 at 7:00
P.M.
Councilman Zimmerman reported that the Town Board met with the
Emergency Squad after the last Town Board meeting arid got their
feelings of what they are looking for as far as additional
space. There will be more to report at a later date.
Councilman Wittmeyer received a packet with two hundred (200)
signatures on a petition addressed to the Traffic Safety
Committee requesting a reduction of the speed limit in front of
the Boston Valley School.
Councilman Wittmeyer asked Highway Superintendent Ruchalski to
contact Erie County with regard to his request for the
replacement of a "Schoolbus" Stop Sign on Back Creek Road that
has not been put up yet.
Councilman Hittmeyer received a call from the Patchin Fire
Company advising that they are taking this up with the County
and also with some officials in Buffalo that on Sunday morning
from 4:30 A.H. until 12.00 P.H. (noon) Cole Road between
Omphalius Road and Liebler Road was not passable. They could
not get to their Fireball and had there been an emergency up
