REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />
FEBRUARY 3, 1993<br />
TOHN HALL<br />
7:30 P.M.<br />
A motion was made by supervisor Kennedy and seconded by<br />
Councilman Flowers to authorize Town Clerk Shenk to purchase a<br />
Bulk Rate Hailing Permit - 1st Class to be used for mailing out<br />
tax bills. Annual Permit Pee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00).<br />
A one time purchase fee to purchase a plug from Pitney Bowes of<br />
approximately forty dollars ($40.00).<br />

Town Clerk Shenk advised the Board that his application for<br />
Records Management Grant was mailed out on Honday, February 1,<br />
1993. What will be applied for in this grant is steel shelving<br />
for the downstairs and upstairs vaults. The purpose is to<br />
replace the wooden shelving now being used to store records.<br />
Also, for one cubic foot record storage boxes. These will<br />
replace the current boxes that are large drawer-like boxes. The<br />
one cubic feet boxes are what the State Archives and Records<br />
Administration recommend. He also, would like to get the Sara<br />
Software which will be used to computerize the records inventory<br />
and help in maintaining the Records Hanagement Program.<br />
SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHHAYS<br />
Specifications for a heavy duty single axle dump truck were<br />
placed out and the bids were opened on Honday, February 1, 1993.<br />
He received four bids on the cabin chassis from Bison Ford,<br />
Hansen International, Buffalo Hat and Hhite. Also, on the snow<br />
plow, wing, hydraulics and fhe^box we received two bids one from<br />
Valley Equipment and one from Roberts Equipment.<br />
Highway Superintendent Ruchalski would like to table the awards<br />
until the next Town Board Heeting on February 17, 1993 as he has<br />
not had time to review the bids thoroughly. This will be ready<br />
for the next meeting.<br />
CODNCILMEN<br />
Councilman Flowers commented that the Town of Cheektowaga has<br />
agreed to sell us streetlight standards from them at the price<br />
of two hundred dollars ($200.00) a piece. This is a tremendous<br />
savings over the purchase a new light standard.<br />
Councilman Hohlhueter announced that the Solid Haste Committee<br />
will be meeting next Thursday night, February 11, 1993 at 7:00<br />
P.M.<br />
Councilman Zimmerman reported that the Town Board met with the<br />
Emergency Squad after the last Town Board meeting arid got their<br />
feelings of what they are looking for as far as additional<br />
space. There will be more to report at a later date.<br />
Councilman Wittmeyer received a packet with two hundred (200)<br />
signatures on a petition addressed to the Traffic Safety<br />
Committee requesting a reduction of the speed limit in front of<br />
the Boston Valley School.<br />
Councilman Wittmeyer asked Highway Superintendent Ruchalski to<br />
contact Erie County with regard to his request for the<br />
replacement of a "Schoolbus" Stop Sign on Back Creek <strong>Road</strong> that<br />
has not been put up yet.<br />
Councilman Hittmeyer received a call from the Patchin Fire<br />
Company advising that they are taking this up with the County<br />
and also with some officials in Buffalo that on Sunday morning<br />
from 4:30 A.H. until 12.00 P.H. (noon) Cole <strong>Road</strong> between<br />
Omphalius <strong>Road</strong> and Liebler <strong>Road</strong> was not passable. They could<br />
not get to their Fireball and had there been an emergency up<br />
