REGULAR BOARD MEETING
FEBRUARY 3, 1993
TOWN HALL
7:30 P.M.
that he thought was necessary to bring their attention to the
severe problem at the Hillcroft bridge. Some survey work has
been done there. It is his understanding that some rip-rap will
be placed there as a temporary measure so that the bank and
roadway doesn't erode any further. He have already lost a 36"
or 38" roadway culvert there and if something is not done soon,
they are liable to loose the approach to the bridge and
ultimately the road itself.
Another area that was looked at was the culvert ori the State
Road across from the North Boston Fire Company, Mr. Gugino said
that there were plans to do somethii\g in the replacement of
another culvert in that area, where we have had extensive
flooding in the last couple of years. If they do this project
this summer a portion of the State Road between the interchange
of Zimmerman Road and Herman Hill Roads and B-Kwik will be
closed, utilizing So. Abbott Road.
In regard to the status of Lower East Hill Road, as you know
there were objection raised by residents on the road when plans
and contracts were being planned to be let by the Councy of
Erie. They have determined that they are going to try and
maintain the same paved surface and shoulders and reduce the
distance between the shoulders and the ditches. This viill
create a much deeper ditch which the County doesn't feel very
comfortable with, but in an effort to alleviate some of the
concerns and to minimize the disruption that a greater sized
right-of-way would entail thiey have decided that this is what
should be done. We are in the process now of redesigning the
plans. According to Mr. Gugino it will be rebid this year or
there will be changes made and they will go forward with thil
contract.
Supervisor Kennedy also asked about the Boston Cross Road and
Mr. Gugino said, that contract is suppose to go forwaro this
year, also.
Supervisor Kennedy and Mr. Gugino went to the Hamlet of Boston
to review the deplorable conditions that exist there. The
constant pounding of trucks hauling clay cap from Snyder Road
into Buffalo has caused the road to shift, and it is in terribie
condition. We are concerned that the entire roadway will be
lost if something isn't done. This concern was pointed out to
Mr. Gugino.
At 8:00 P.H. a Public Hearing
was held to rezone the Carol
Seamon property on Pfarner Rd.
v/hich is currently zoned
Residential-Agricultural (R-A)
to General Industrial (M-2).
Town Clerk Shenk read the Public
Notice and the following
correspondence relating to the
Public Hearing on the proposed
rezoning:
1) Letter from Carol Seamon
requesting to rezone property
