2^77y REGULAR BOARD MEETING DECEHBER 15, 1993 COUNCILMEN REPORT (CONT.V TOWN HALL 7:30 P.M. Councilman Wittmeyer: Well after twenty years on the Board I would also like to have my wife Helen stand up. This is the first meeting in twenty years that she has attended. She has been my right hand person for years. I would also like to thank all the people of Boston for the honor and privilege of serving here for the past twenty years. It's been really an experience. I've seen the progress in the Town. When I first came on the Board twenty years ago, we raet in the Boston Fire Hall. We moved from there to the Planning BOard roon downstairs. In my twenty years on the Board I've seen the Rescue Squad Building built, the State Police Building biiilt, and the new Tov/n Garage built. I've seen this Town Park expanded to a place that people can be proud to come to. I feel it's just been a great experience to have been able to serve you for the past twenty years, and I wish the new Board all the luck in the world. I wish them success. I hope they keep the town steadily moving ahead as we have in the past twenty years. I feel I have raade the town safer and a better place to live and that I've accoraplished the job that I set out to do. I'd like to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I'd like to thank the Board for all the kind things they've said about us. As I said when I left the Valley View twenty years ago, "I'm not going to raiss the business but I'm sure going to miss the people", that's the same thing that I feel here. I will miss the people I've served with and I will miss the people that have been here. Thank you all.
