REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />

JANUARY 20, 1993<br />

TOHN HALL<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

Present were Councilman Mark H. Flowers, Councilman Don A.<br />

Hohlhueter, Councilman Milton I. Hittmeyer, Councilman David G.<br />

Ziiiunerman, Supervisor Richard L. Kennedy, Town Attorney Michael<br />

F. Perley.<br />

Absent: Highway Superintendent Eugene Ruchalski.<br />

A motion was made by Councilman Hittmeyer and seconded by<br />

Councilman Zimmerman to accept the correction and adoption of<br />

the minutes of the January 6, 1993 Regular Town Board Meeting.<br />

A inotion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by<br />

Councilman Flowers that the General Fund and Special District<br />

Bills on Abstract #1 A, dated January 20, 1993 in the amount of<br />

$55,924.41 be paid.<br />

Letter received from Dale M. Volker, N.Y. Senate, supporting<br />

funding for the restoration of the Beaver Island Park Casino,<br />

received and on file in the Town Clerk's office.<br />

Letter received from Dennis Gorski, County Executive in response<br />

to Boston's resolution relative to a rabies hotline, received<br />

and on file in the Town Clerk's office.<br />

Letter received from R.J. Russell, Regional Director, NYS Dept.<br />

of Transportation regarding designation of restricted highway,<br />

referring to a portion of Route 219 from Route 39 to a point<br />

3,000 feet north of Route 391. Including all intersecting roads<br />

and ramps to the limits shown on the contract plans. All in the<br />

Towns of Concord and Boston, Erie County, received and on file<br />

in the Town Clerk's office.<br />

Letter received from Thomas C. Jorling, N.Y. D.E.C, with a<br />

Draft New York State Solid Waste Management Plan, 1991/92 Update<br />

and Appendices. The 1991/92 Updates contains information as of<br />

January 1992 on a number of solid waste management subjects,<br />

such as local solid waste management planning and solid waste<br />

generation and recycling rates in New York State. Copy of<br />

update is available in the Town Clerk's office.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy asked Councilman Flowers to inform the<br />

Conservation Advisory Council that this is on file, and advise<br />

them that they would have access to the copy in the Town Clerk's<br />

office.<br />

Letter received from David Gaskell, NYS Division of Equalization<br />

and Assessment regarding equalization rates in Erie County,<br />

received and on file in the Town Clerk's office.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy responded that he will meet with Vincent<br />

Smith, Property Valuation Bureau Manager. We have received<br />

tentative rates and have challenged those rates and as soon as<br />

more information is available on a final rate the Town Board<br />

will be advised.<br />

Councilman Flowers questioned why the Erie County Data file<br />

format was not fully compatible with the Real Property Systems<br />

format used by the State of New York?<br />

Town Assessor Hilliam Kleis responded that the system was<br />

changed over from the County to the State before our computer<br />

system was installed. Now we are on line with the State.<br />
