A REGULAR BOARD MEETING JANUARY 6, 1993 TOWN HALL 7:30 P.M. abandoned vehicles in the Town of Boston. Since, most of the work has been done by Hamburg, Attorney Perley asked that the Board authorize him to write the Police Chief in Hamburg and advise him that the Board agrees that he can perfect that abandonment, and from now on any abandon vehicles in Town if he hears of them or is asked to process them, that we will process them ourselves. A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by Councilman Flowers to authorize the Hamburg, Chief of Police to perfect the abandonment of the afore mentioned vehicle. five (5) Ayes COUNCILMEN REPORT Carried Councilman Flowers acknowledged the Chamber of Commerce for putting on the Christmas Tree Trimming Event, Gloria COleman- Thompson, Chairman, Laurie and Harry Hendrix for donating the tree. Grove Roofing for use of their boom-truck, Stumpbusters for the use of their bucket-truck and to Rucker Lumber for use of their truck and driver to transport the tree. Also, the Highway Department for their help. Councilman Zimmerman congratulated the Sean Greene Family and their son Juan who shortly before Christmas became a United States Citizen, and asked that the Town Clerk send a letter to this effect. Councilman Wittmeyer received an answer from Erie County regarding a variety of requests as follows: 1) School bus sign at Butternut S Back Creek Road, installation approved. Councilman Wittmeyer upon inspection found a new sign at Cloverfield and Back Creek. This will be looked into and the sign will be put at the correct location. 2) Meadow Drive, "Children at Play" - Denied, this is a Town road and the Town can install a W7-15 "Playground" should they find that the conditions meet the use defined in the NYS Manual - Traffic Control. Councilman Wittmeyer will take this up with Traffic Safety and report back to the Board. 3) "School bus" and "Blind Grade" sign at 7684 Omphalius Road, installation approved. Councilman Wittmeyer followed up on this and the "School bus" sign is in place. 4) 8519 Lower East Hill Road, "Blind Driveway,'* Driveway warning signs utilize intersections signs are not used where the driveway is at a highway intersection (Hohlhueter) further they are not used where intersection warning signs exist for Wohlhueter. We suggest that the residents eliminate the obstructions to visibility on the approaches to their drives and we will alert those working on the reconstruction of Lower East Hill Road, regarding improvements of visibility on the approach to this drive. Sign denied. Councilman Wittmeyer will notify the people at 8519 Lower East Hill Road.

Cn the County's review of this they find no basis to change this control. However, should the Town find any reason please notify us. Sign denied. Councilman Wittmeyer reported that the "Playground" sign missing on Back Creek Road at the North Boston Playground has been replaced. HAMBURG PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCH Hamburg Public Safety Dispatch Annual Report for 1992 received and on file in the Town Clerk's Office.
