PETITION
We, the undersigned residents of the Town of Boston, New York, hereby request
that Supervisor Richard L. Kennedy, Councilman Milton I. Wittmeyer, Councilman
Don A. Wohlhueter, Councilman David G. Zinmerman, Councilman Mark Flowers, the
Boston Town Board, take the following actions:
1. Whatever is necessary to reduce the speed limit along Boston State Road
in the vicinity of Boston Hills Homes & Estates, the most densely
populated area in the Town of Boston, from 55 mph to 40 mph. The 55 mph
speed ' limit at this location constitutes a danger to the lives £ind
welfare of the residents in that vicinity.
2. CheuTge their order to close the North entrance to Boston Hills Homes
because this imposes an unnecessary hardship on the residents and it
constitutes a potential delay for fire trucks and other vehicles
attemptirig tc respond to life-threatening emergencies at this location.
3. Eliminate the annual fee of $15.00 per home assessed against manufactured
honies in Boston, which is paid by the residents as a component of their
lot rental fee. The Town does not charge an annual license fee against
any other business or form of housing in the Town, including apartments,
condos, duplexes or single family houses.
4. Eliminate the armual inspection of manufactured housing conmunities in
Boston because the Town does not perform an annual inspection of any
other business or form of housing in the Town, even though many houses
and buildings in the Town are in substantially worse condition theuri our
homes and our conmunity.
