PETITION
We, the undersigned residents of the Town of Boston, New York, hereby request
that Supervisor Richard L. Kennedy, Councilman Milton I, Wittmeyer, Councilman
Don A. Wohlhueter, Councilman David G. Zimmerman, Councilman Mark Flowers, the
Boston Town Board, take the following eictions:
1. Whatever is necessary to reduce the speed limit along Boston State Road
in the vicinity of Boston Hills Honies & Estates, the most densely
populated area in the Town of Boston, frot.i 55 mph to 40 mph. The 55 mph
speed limit at this location constitutes a danger to the lives £md
welfare of the residents in that vicinity.
2. Change their order to close the North entrance to Boston Hills Homes
because this imposes, an unnecessary hardship on the residents and it
constitutes a potential delay for fire trucks and other vehicles
atteinpting to respond to life-threatening emergencies at this location.
3. Eliminate the annual fee of $15.00 per home assessed against manufactured
homes in Boston, which is paid by the residents as a component of their
lot rental fee. Tiie Town does not charge an annual license fee against
any other business or form of housing in the Town, including apartments,
condos, duplexes or single family houses.
4. Elimiiiate the annual inspection of manufactured housing conmunities in
Boston because the Town doss not perform an annual inspection of any
other business or form of housing in the Town, even though many houses
arid buildings in the Town are in substantially worse condition than our
homes and our conmunity.
