REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />

OCTOBER 6, 1993<br />

TOWN HALL<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy sent out five (5) submissions for the<br />

replacemerit of the stairway on the front of the Tovjn Hall.<br />

He has not received any bids back. The Town Engineer has forwarded<br />

the information to Nichter Construction Company to which they have<br />

responded with a proposal of $9,340. A decision on this will be<br />

held until the October 20, 1993 meeting.<br />

TOWN CLERK REPORT<br />

A) Registrar of Vital Statistic Report for September 1993<br />

on file in the Clerk's Office.<br />

Town Clerk Shenk announced HSrsburg School Tax Collection Hours to<br />

be held at the Town Hall as follows:<br />

October 9, 1993<br />

October 14, 1993<br />

October 15, 1993<br />

SUPERINTENDENT OF HIGHWAYS<br />

9:00 A.M. till 3:00 P.M.<br />

9:00 A.M. till 8:00 P.M.<br />

9:00 A.M. till 9:00 P.M.<br />

Superintendent of Highways Ruchalski thanked the Town Board for<br />

authorizing hira to attend the serainar at the New York Association<br />

of Towns in the Catskills.<br />

The new 1994 International truck and twenty (20) ton trailer is in<br />

service, and has been put to good use hauling dozers.<br />

The Brush pick-up will be finishing up the first phase of it this<br />

week, finishing up at the end of this raonth for the year.<br />

TOWN ATTORNEY<br />

Town Attorney Perley has received and filed all the necessary<br />

documents to send a clear title certificate to the New York State<br />

Department of Parks and Recreation for the back property at the<br />

town park.<br />

On Januai-y 1, 1994 we will be entering the fourth year of a five<br />

year contract with BFI. Councilman Wohlhueter, Supervisor Kennedy<br />

and Town Attorney Perley met with two representative of BFI as a<br />

result of that meeting a price modification was obtained in lieu of<br />

the cost-of-living increase. There will be an increase of $2.00<br />

per household per year. We have agreed to modification of the<br />

contract in consideration of the factors outlined to the Board<br />

subject to the Boards approval and general terms. A reduction frora<br />

eight (8) trash iteras per week to five (5) trash iteras per week.<br />

A contract will be presented to the Town Board for approval and<br />

modification of the existing five (5) year contract reciting these<br />

iteras at the next meeting. If any of the Town Board Meraber at the<br />

present time have objection to this raodification of the contract<br />

between now and the next raeeting please inforra Mr. Perley.<br />

COUNCILMEN<br />

Councilman Flowers attended the Chamber of Comraerce Dinner and<br />

viewed a very enlightening presentation by Bob Neiderprum, Sr.<br />

Water Production Engineer, Erie County Water Authority.<br />

Councilmari Zimmerraan congratulated Supervisor Kennedy on the 1994<br />

Preliminary Budget that he presented and coraplimented him on being<br />

able to hold the tax at the same rate as last year.<br />
