REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />

OCTOBER 6, 1993<br />

TOWN HALL<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

present were Councilman Mark W. Flowers, Councilman Don A.<br />

Wohlhueter, Councilman David G. Zimmerman, Councilman Milton I.<br />

Wittmeyer, Supervisor Richard L. Kennedy, Town Attorney Michael F.<br />

Perley, and Highway Superintendent Eugene E. Ruchalski.<br />

A motion was made by Councilraan Wittraeyer and seconded by<br />

Councilman Flowers to accept the correction and adoption of the<br />

minutes of the September 15, 1993 Regular Board Meeting.<br />

A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by Councilman<br />

Ziramerman that _the General Fund and Special District Bills on<br />

Abstract #10 dated October 6, 1993 in the amount of $43,229.27 be<br />

paid.<br />

A motion was made by Councilman Wohlhueter and seconded by<br />

Councilman Ziramerman that the Highway Bills on Abstract #10 dated<br />

October 6, 1993 in the amount of $15,957.93 be paid.<br />

A motion was made by Councilman Wittmeyer and seconded by<br />

Councilraan Wohlhueter to accept the Town Clerk's Report for<br />

September 1993.<br />

Letter received frora NYSDOT, Re: Reducing speed limit on Chestnut<br />

Ridge <strong>Road</strong> from Ward <strong>Road</strong> to Boston State <strong>Road</strong> and Eleven areas<br />

within the Town of Boston received and on file in the Clerk's<br />

Office.<br />

Councilman Wittmeyer, Traffic Safety Committee commented in<br />

response to the letter from NYSDOT that this is the last step as<br />

the State does a study and it v?ill be at least six months before we<br />

hear any more.<br />

Letter received from Sejiator Dale Volker, Re: New York State<br />

Emergency Assistance Program to help localities deal with natural<br />

disasters. Plan must be on file before December 31, 1993.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy commented that we do have tv/o (2) disaster plans<br />

in place. We have a Haz/Mat and a regular disaster plan. The<br />

regular disaster plan will be revised with the cooperation of the<br />

emergency squad and the fire companies, and we will be submitting<br />

our plan before the deadline of December 31, 1993.<br />

Letter from Asserablyraan Francis J. Pordum, congratulating the town<br />

upon receiving a grant award frora the Local Government Records<br />

Management Improvement Fund.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy acknowledged Town Clerk Shenk for his<br />

cooperation with the Grantsperson in applying for these grants<br />

money.<br />

Letter received from Edward J. Conboy, Jr. P.E., Sr. Civil<br />

Engineer, Erie County Department of Public Works, Division of<br />

Highways, Re: Boston Cross <strong>Road</strong> defining an exception to the width<br />

of each lane which will be ten feet (10') instead of nine feet<br />

(9'), received and on file in the Clerk's Office.<br />
