TOWN CLERK REPORT
Carried
RESOLUTION 1993-35 CONSOLIDATION OF ELECTION DISTRICTS
FOR VOTER'S REGISTRATION
TOWN ATTORNEY REPORT
As trustee of the Library Association I advise the Town Board that
the parking lot has been paved. The appropriation has been made to
the Library for the amount of money that was part of the lease
arrangement for the Coraraunity Room and as a depository of funds.
That was contingent upon the paving of the parking lot. It was
completed on Friday. The Board raerabers are invited to go up and
take a look at this project. Part of the paving project included
drainage.
Town Attorney Perley delivered to the.Board Members a letter frora
the Ticor Title Guarantee Corapany pertaining to the position that
the town has taken on Deanna Drive. Essentially the Ticor letter
agrees with the position that he has taken. That Deanna Drive is
a public highway to the extent of at least one hundred-forty feet
(140') from its intersection. Also, given to the Board was a cOpy
of the August 30th letter which was feferred to in the Ticor Title
Guarantee Letter. This is not an official deterraination of the
status of the road. However, it is part of what may be an on-going
process of the status of the road.
COUNCILMEN REPORT
Councilman Flowers went to the Southtowns Haz/Mat Meeting and
advised that there is a Public Hearing being held on September 16,
1993 at 11:00 a.m. on the 7th floor of the Rath Building. This is
on an item brought forward by Mr. Duza, to charge a fee to anyone
who reports under Title 3 of the Hazardous Reporting Law. Our
position with the Southtowns Haz/Mat Team is that we are an active
viable operation and if they choose to do this we will fight for
our share of funding.
Councilman Wittmeyer received a referral from the Town Clerk from
Mr. Johnson on the corner of Meadowbrook and Maplelawn who had
called about the town highway department putting up a "Yield" sign
at the corner. He was upset and did not feel that the sign was
needed there. The Councilman explained to him that traffic control
was needed there. After that he was acceptable of the sign. J
