f _ TOWN OF BOSTON RESOLUTION 1993 - 18 At a Regular Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Boston, Erie County, New York, held at the Boston Town Hall, 8500 Boston State Road, Boston, New York, on the 19th day of May 1993 at 7:30 P.M. Eastern Daylight Savings Time there were present: Richard L. Kennedy Milton I. Wittmeyer David G. Zimmerman Don A. Wohlhueter Mark W. Flowers Supervisor Councilmah Councilman Councilman Councilman Supervisor Kennedy presented the following Resolution and moved its adoption: WHEREAS, the City of New York operates a facility for homeless people in the Town of Chester, New York, and WHEREAS, the Town of Chester has and is experiencing difficulties with individuals who reside at that facility causing public safety and health concerns, and WHEREAS, the Town of Chester has ascertained to its satisfaction that a certain number of the residents at the facility are the subject of outstanding criminal warrants, and WHEREAS, no screening of criminal records for outstanding warrants, etc is performed by the City of New York prior to pl?cing the residents at this facility, and WHEREAS, the Town of Chester has requested the help of other municipalities in the state to help insure passage of legislation designed to require criminal record checks prior to admission to this non-secure residential facility (S-2150 and A- 2526), NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Boston supports the Town of Chester in its desire to have the above bills enacted into law, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Town Supervisor of the Town of Chester, Senator Dale Volker and Assemblyman Francis Produm. Wittmeyer, Supervisor Richard L. Kennedy, Towri Attorney Michael F. Perley, and Superintendent of Highway Eugene E. Ruchalski. A raotion was made by Councilman Flowers and seconded by Councilman Zimmerman to accej&t the correction and adoption of the minutes of the May 5, 1993 Regular Monthly Meeting. five (5) Ayes Carried A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by Councilman Wohlhueter that the General Fund and Special District Bil^s on Abstract #5A dated May 19, 1993 in the amount cf $59,34S.S9 bs paid. five (5) Ayes Carried A raotion was made by Councilman Wittraeyer and seconded by- Councilman Flowers that the Highway Bills on Abstract #5A dated May 19, 1993 in the amount of $13,696.20 be paid. five (5) Ayes Carriea Letter received from State Comptroller Edward Regan, regarding payment of State General Purpose Revenue Sharing (GPRS) to cities, towns and villages received and filed in the Clerk's office. Town of Boston will receive the same amount of State Aid in the 1993-94 State Budget as they did in 1992-93. Letter from Wilson Moore, Director NYSDOT regarding CHIPS Program. Under the Operation and Maintenance the direct portion of CHIPS, the Town of Boston will receive a SFY 1993-94 total of $10,886 in quarterly payments. Under the Capital reimbursement portion of CHIPS, the Town of Boston will receive a SFY 1993-94 allot.T.ent of $25,471. Letter from Robert J. Russell, Regional Director, NYSDOT, a traffic engineering investigation to consider a school speed zone or. Back Creek Road in the vicinity of Boston Valley Elementary School has been initiated. RESOLUTION 1993 - 18 TOWN OF CHESTER - CAMP LAGUARDIA A motion was made by Councilman Wohlhueter and seconded by Councilman Zimmerman to authorize Supervisor Kennedy to execute Investment Policy received from the State Comptroller. five (5) Ayes Carried A motion was made by Councilman Wittraeyer and seconded by Councilman Flowers to purchase from Image Office Equipment a Conica plain paper fax machine on a lease purchase agreement in the amount of $1795.00 w/trade at $150.00 per month for 12 months with a buy out of $179.00. five (5) Ayes Carried A raotion was made by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded oy Councilman Wittmeyer to authorize Supervisor Kennedy to enter into a Lease Agreement between the Boston Free Library and the Town of Boston in the amount of $5500.00. five (5) Ayes Carried yfys^s^iyyyysyyit / O i "] y A
