REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />
MAY 5, 1993<br />
TOWN HALL<br />
7:30 P.M.<br />
Received franchise check from Adelphia Cable in the amount of<br />
$16,522.34 for Intgrnational Cablevision, Inc. This check<br />
represents payment of franchise fees for the period of October 1,<br />
1992 through March 31, 1993. Payment was based on gross revenues of<br />
$350,437,50 at five (5%) percent iess a credit of $999.54 for the<br />
Town of Boston Special Franchise Taxes.<br />
Councilman Zimmerman requested that the town Attorney request the<br />
$999.54 credit that was withheld, be returned. Our agreement with<br />
them is that they do not deduct from our payment.<br />
Resolution received from the Town of Wales, Re: DWI Costs, received<br />
and on file in the Clerk's Office.<br />
REQUESTS FROM THE FLOOR<br />
Daniel Poppenberg, President of the Boston Emergency Squad asked<br />
that any complaints or criticism of the Squad that come into the<br />
Town Clerk's Office be directed to the Boston Emergency Squad,<br />
Director of Operation or the President. With these complaints, we<br />
offer follow-ups to the patients or family to better ourselves with<br />
our service to the Town of Boston.<br />
Bob Keel on behalf of the Emergency Squad, as Chairman of the<br />
Squad's Fund Raising Campaign for this year, I would like to<br />
publicly thank the members of the Town Board as well as the Public<br />
in the Community who attended the opening event at the Boston<br />
Gardens on May 3, 1993. We had a tremendous "Kick-off Event" that<br />
brought in over four thousand ($4,000) dollars for our campaign.<br />
Lisa Rood: I would like to bring to the Town Board's attention<br />
that this is officially "Water Week." Also, reporting from the<br />
Conservation Advisory Council that we have planted the trees'we<br />
received from the Tree Grant down at the Highway garage. Thanks to<br />
Gene Ruchalski and his machine operator Joe for assisting us.<br />
A motion was made by Councilman Wohlhueter and seconded by<br />
Councilman Zimmerman to approve the recreation appointments for<br />
Summer of 1993 as recomitiended by Gerald O'Brien, Recreation<br />
