REGULAR BOARD MEETING<br />

APRIL 7, 1993<br />

TOWH HALL<br />

7:30 P.M.<br />

Quinn acting on our behalf with the Army Corp, Assemblyman<br />

Pordum and to Senator Volker to see if they could do anything to<br />

expedite whatever has to be done with the D.E.C.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy expressed his appreciation to the Members of<br />

the Board for opportunity allowing him to serve the remainder of<br />

his term. He will keep the Supervisor's salary the same as it<br />

has been when he drafts the budget in October 1993 it will be<br />

commensurate with whatever raises are received by other persons.<br />

If in fact, there are raises in this years budget.<br />

A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by<br />

Couricilman Wittmeyer that Supervisor Kennedy's salary from now<br />

until the end of the year not "The Supervisor's" salary,<br />

however, the salary that will be given to Supervisor Kennedy as<br />

the Supervisor, be for the remainder of fifteen thousand dollars<br />

($15,000) which will be nine thousand, four hundred and eighty<br />

dollars and seventy-eight cents ($9,480.78).<br />

TOWN CLERK REPORT<br />

Carried<br />

A) Registrar of Vital Statistics Monthly Report for<br />

Harch 1993 received and on file in the Clerk's office.<br />

A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by<br />

Councilman Flowers to accept the Tax Collectors Honthly Report<br />

for Harch 1993.<br />

four (4) Ayes Carried<br />

A motion was made by Supervisor Kennedy and seconded by<br />

Councilman Zimmerman at the recommendation of Town Clerk Shenk<br />

since it is no longer required by New York Election Law to hold<br />

a meeting for local registration in October, that the Town of<br />

Boston have one (1) Voter's Registration Day from 10:00 A.H.<br />

till 6:00 P.M. with two (2) Inspectors from each dominating<br />

party at a date to be announced.<br />

Town Clerk received a notice from the Board of Elections<br />

indicating that when the people from the Board of Elections come<br />

out to program the Election Machines in the town before the<br />

September Primary Election and the November General Election we<br />

will issued a bill for mileage and hourly salary for those<br />

employees of the Board of Election based on the individual's<br />

salary at the Board.<br />

Supervisor Kennedy will draft a letter to the Board of Elections<br />

telling them how dismayed he is, that once again another burden<br />

has been shifted on to the Local Governments. Especially, in<br />

view of the fact, that we pay twerity-five thousand dollars<br />

($25,000.06) a year out of our County Tax to the Board of<br />

Elections, based on the seven (7) elections districts used in<br />

Boston.<br />

A motion was made by Councilman Wittmeyer and seconded by<br />

Supervisor Kennedy for Town Clerk Shenk and Deputy Town Clerk<br />

O'Neill to attend Hew York State Town Clerk's Association<br />

Conference in Buffalo at a cost of not more than two hundred<br />

dollars ($200.00)<br />
