Registered letter with petition containing thirty-two (32)
received from residents of Sprague Hobile Home Court protesting
the request of Hr. Sprague to replace said skirting by residents
of the Hobile Court was received by the Town Clerk.
Supervisor Kennedy also received a copy of said petition and a
letter from the Consumer Protection Board of the State of New
York referring to this same petition, to which he responded by
sending a letter, indicating that the Town Board did not mandate
the type of skirting required in the Sprague Hobile Home Park.
Our primary concern was that the trailers be skirted. It was
not the intent of this Board to make demands on the residents of
the Sprague Hobile Home Court that they can't conform with.
Supervisor Kennedy directed Town Clerk Shenk to respond to the
petition signers with a copy of the letter that he wrote to the
Consumer Protection Board indicating that we have no objections
to the present skirting.
A motion was made by Councilman Zimmerman and seconded by
councilman Flowers to authorize Supervisor Kennedy to purchase
under state contract a John Deere tractor at a cost of
$10,254.00 and direct the Town Clerk to advertise in the
official newspaper, 1984 - Hodel 650, 17 HP, 14 PTO, 60" mower
deck, minimum bid four thousand dollars ($4,000,00). Sealed
bids to be opened on Wednesday April 21, 1993 at 10 A.M.
SUPERVISOR REPORT
Carried
A) Supervisor's Monthly Financial Report received and on
file in the Clerk's office.
Supervisor Kennedy met with the representatives of the Army Corp
of Engineers, D.E.C, County of Erie and Highway Superintendent
Ruchalski regarding the Hillcroft Bridge. If we should have a
heavy down pour we will have serious problem as we could
possibly lose the bridge and/or the roadway. It was the
consensus of the County of Erie that they be given permission to
do some temporary remedial work pending the final section 14
study that is being conducted by the Army Corp of Engineers.
There seems to be some concern of the type of rip-rap that the
County would be allowed to use. We are trying to expedite this
project as fast as we can. The Supervisor has met with the
owners of the properties affected and they have no objections to
what the Army Corp of Engineers intends to do. The Supervisor
forwarded that information to the Corp indicating that the
people have no objections, the town has no objections. A letter
was also forwarded to the County of Erie asking them to consider
funding twelve and a half percent (12.5%) of the cost. Copies
of the Supervisor's correspondence liave been sent to Congressman
