Through the BALINIT ® VST ADVANCED<br />
technology the performance of the PVD<br />
coating is further optimised. In heavy<br />
duty applications the enhanced supporting<br />
effect makes the PVD coating<br />
capable of resisting higher working<br />
loads. Tool life is substantially increased.<br />
This technology can be used in conjunction<br />
with BALINIT ® VST B and<br />
BALINIT ® VST TiAIN coatings.<br />

The optimised relationship between<br />
hardness and residual compressive<br />
stress of the titanium aluminium nitride<br />
coating provides superior protection<br />
of the tool against abrasive wear and<br />
erosion. The outstanding thermal and<br />
chemical stability allow operation at<br />
high temperatures.<br />
BALINIT ® VST B ADVANCED:<br />
The titanium carbon nitride coating<br />
exhibits very high hardness and good<br />
toughness. Coated tools are protected<br />
against wear. The reduced coefficient<br />
of friction protects against cold welding<br />
and adhesive wear.<br />
