The Product<br />
BALINIT ® VST DLC is a carbon based<br />
coating (diamond like carbon) with<br />
an exceptionally dense coating structure.<br />
A combination of high hardness<br />
with extremely low coefficient of friction<br />
protects especially well against abrasive<br />
and adhesive wear, also with<br />
minimal lubrication and dry working<br />
applications. The dense coating furthermore<br />
improves corrosion resistance.<br />
The Application<br />
In comparison with conventional titanium<br />
based coatings, BALINIT ® VST<br />
DLC achieves up to a 300 percent<br />
increase in service life with:<br />
- Trimming or blanking of aluminium<br />
- Flanging of aluminium blanks<br />
- Aluminium hemming<br />
