"In situ" conservation of plant genetic resources Conservation "in situ" is presently not used in genetic resources of agricultural plants, it is used exclusively in wild plants and in forest trees' resources. Main institutions which provide "in situ" conservation of wild plants' resources are botanic gardens and protected areas. Legal status of these institutions has been declared by Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic in 1992 (Sbirka zakonu _. 395/1992).
