Dear Reader:
While I’m out and about collecting photos, articles and advertisements, I see
and talk with a lot of people all over the area. The nature of this public service
carries a lot of interaction that results in knowing how people really feel about
a number of topics but most commonly what I learn is how people feel about
our community. I encounter many who are genuinely happy and appreciative
of others. I encounter the doers who help, over and over again, with an event, a
service or an organization as a volunteer. I encounter business owners who give
back to us either financially or with their time.
It is our intent that The Catoctin Banner communicates with our readers in
a respectful manner about good people and businesses to give us all a lift. As
our economic conditions become more strained, it is even more important to
appreciate those who continue to give. Please take time from your busy schedules
to say “Thank You.”
