The shift from the former
Thurmont Library’s one-room
coziness to the spacious facility which
brought a much larger selection of
books and movies to for library users
has been a refreshing treat. In the
new library, it is much easier to park,
locate resources and check-out and
return library materials.
The updated children’s area has
computers that play games and
teach at the same time. The young
adult section has a large selection
and comfortable space where young
adults can safely hang out and talk
about their favorite books.
Older adults enjoy weekly
and monthly craft sessions and
discussions about a variety of topics
including taxes and health care.
