6. Defects that occur during circular knitting and their causes and remedies.<br />

7. Different types of articles can be produced on hand driven knitting machine such as Mitins,<br />

Socks, Stockings, Gloves etc.<br />

2) Tools and accessories used in circular knitting and their uses.<br />

3) Identification and function of cylinder cams.<br />

4) Identification and functions of dial-cams.<br />

5) Dissembling and assembling of the cam system of socks machine.<br />

6) Raising and Lowering of dial and time setting.<br />

7) Method of starting machine with jobbing on method and running on method.<br />

8) Knitting of welt and 1 x 1 rib.<br />

9) Method of knitting heal and toe<br />

Time: 3 hrs Semester-II M. Marks : 50<br />

1) How to adjust the stitch length and yarn guide of the machine.<br />

2) Knitting of full socks.<br />

3) Knitting of stockings.<br />

4) Method of linking of toe portion.<br />

5) Method of Pressing, Labeling, Folding and packing of finished product.<br />

6) Size chart of socks.<br />

All practicals to be recorded in file along with procedures, analysis & samples.<br />
