F. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE PAPER SETTERS<br />
(THEORY)<br />
1. The paper should be strictly from the prescribed syllabus or according to guidelines given<br />
under the structure of question paper.<br />
2. The language should be simple and to the mental level of the students.<br />
3. The standardized form of the technical terminology should be used.<br />
4. The questions in the paper should be evenly distributed throughout the syllabus.<br />
5. There will not be any objective type question like Yes or No, tick or cross, fill in the blanks,<br />
multiple choice etc.<br />
6. Due weightage should be given to numerical problems wherever required.<br />
7. Marks for every part/sub-part should be shown on the question paper itself.<br />
PRACTICAL<br />
1. The question paper will be set on the spot by the practical examiner himself.<br />
2. The practical examiner will set the question paper on the spot based upon the instructions &<br />
prescribed syllabus. The examiner must send one copy of the question paper for Board's<br />
record. The second copy of the question paper must be kept by the examiner.<br />
3. A group of students should be examined in given time.<br />
4. Separate question paper should be set for each group.<br />
G. ON-THE-JOB TRAINING<br />
Time : 3 weeks M. Marks : 60<br />
INTRODUCTION :<br />
On-the-job training is an essential component of effective Vocational Education and Training.<br />
The Heads of Vocational <strong>School</strong>s have to play a vital role in this regard.<br />
IDENTIFICATION OF TRAINING CENTRE :<br />
The Head of the institution will identify the Training Centres in consultation with liaison<br />
agencies and local community. Any reputed Industrial Organisation /<br />
Workshop/Office/Shop situated in the neighbourhood of the school can be the training<br />
centre.<br />
GROUPING OF STUDENTS :<br />
After the identification of Training Centres the Head of school will group the students under<br />
the guidance of a group incharge, the concerned <strong>voc</strong>ational master. There should not be<br />
more than 10 students in a group.<br />
DURATION :<br />
On-the-job training will be for three weeks in all. It will be conducted for three weeks after<br />
the completion of the Syllabus at the end of 2 nd Semester for 120 marks(40 marks for<br />
each of the trade related subjects). It can be conducted at more than one centre depending<br />
upon the facilities available at the training center/s. The schedule may be framed by the<br />
Head of the school in consultation with the competent authority of the training centre/s.<br />
EVALUATION :<br />
The competent authority at the training centre will evaluate the conduct, work, aptitude,<br />
gained experience, efficiency etc. of the student and will issue the training certificate on the<br />
Performance Sheet.<br />
PREPARATION OF AWARD LIST :<br />
On the basis of the training, certificate marks will be allotted to the student by the group<br />
incharge. These marks will be listed in the Award List against the Roll No. of the student as
