pointed out to the party vide even letter no dated 24.06.2011.<br />

(a) Surface water<br />
As the slope <strong>of</strong> the active <strong>mine</strong> & dump is steep any precipitation<br />
trigger to soil erosion. For prevention garland drain being<br />
provided in a7 around pit & dump slope % water flowing there<br />
directed to silt pond. The accumulated water after sedimentation<br />
can be been used for water sprinkling on haul road & drinking<br />
purpose for f<strong>ore</strong>st habitants<br />

water sprinkler has been installed in main haul road to suppress<br />
the dust.<br />

8. Sensitive technical items on conservation <strong>of</strong> <strong>mine</strong>ral, scientific mining and protection <strong>of</strong><br />
environment<br />
Specific issues that are required to be kept in focus for examination & monitoring should be stated<br />
here.<br />
Mining is carried out with all exploratory data & mechanized mining operation with three shift<br />
working. All the permission required to mining has been obtained. Except in north western part <strong>of</strong><br />
quarry-4, benches are designed 09 mtr height & width 20 ntrs. Haul roads <strong>of</strong> sufficient width &<br />
safety features such as safety berm, signals and curves are well maintained. Wet drilling is in<br />
practice. Sufficient no <strong>of</strong> supervisory personnel are employed. Dust suppression is done by water<br />
sprinklers, controlled blasting is followed in order to minimize ground vibration. Dry fog system is<br />
followed in crushers. DG sets <strong>of</strong> acoustic barriers are provided. Material chutes are kept at 9 mtrs<br />
height to prevent dust generation. Conveyor belts are covered with corrugated sheet<br />
1.F<strong>ore</strong>st clearance for 51.99 ha obtained vide letter no F.No 8-106/2005-FC dated 19.02.2008<br />
