pointed out to the party vide even letter no dated 24.06.2011.

Mining operations were suspended under rule 13(2) for violation of rule 13(1) of MCDR
1988 vide even no H/11021/2/2010-BBS Team-3 dated 24/08/2010 for stocking of ore in quarry
8,9,9B instead of working and 9 bore holes were not explored as proposed in approved scheme of
mining.

(e) Forest (flora & fauna) The area consist of vegetation of dry deciduous species like Pisal,
Bella, Harida, Amla, Gamba, Mahula. The fauna in forest areas
are spotted deer, sloth beer. Movement of elephant is often
noticed.

ii) Water Environment
(a) Surface water
As the slope of the active mine & dump is steep any precipitation
trigger to soil erosion. For prevention garland drain being
provided in a7 around pit & dump slope % water flowing there
directed to silt pond. The accumulated water after sedimentation
can be been used for water sprinkling on haul road & drinking
purpose for forest habitants

Regular monitoring of water upstream & down stream of Karo
nala is being carried out and record is maintained & submitted to
state pollution control board
iii) Air Environment
Water sprinkling arrangements at regular intervals and static auto
water sprinkler has been installed in main haul road to suppress

Noise survey will be carried out quarterly. Noise generated are
within permissible limit
(b) Air In built dry fog system has been installed in screening & crushing
plants. Periodically air monitoring has been carried out.

Local villagers are employed in the mine.

profile
(b) Recommending health and 2 doctors and pharmacist have been appointed. Medical camps are
safety
being conducted in near by villages to provide treatment to
villagers. Ambulance service being provided to children.
(c) Human settlement There is no human settlement within the lease area.
(d) Recreational facility The villagers are provided with sports goods 7 contribution
towards sports arrangements

8. Sensitive technical items on conservation of mineral, scientific mining and protection of
environment
Specific issues that are required to be kept in focus for examination & monitoring should be stated
here.
Mining is carried out with all exploratory data & mechanized mining operation with three shift
working. All the permission required to mining has been obtained. Except in north western part of
quarry-4, benches are designed 09 mtr height & width 20 ntrs. Haul roads of sufficient width &
safety features such as safety berm, signals and curves are well maintained. Wet drilling is in
practice. Sufficient no of supervisory personnel are employed. Dust suppression is done by water
sprinklers, controlled blasting is followed in order to minimize ground vibration. Dry fog system is
followed in crushers. DG sets of acoustic barriers are provided. Material chutes are kept at 9 mtrs
height to prevent dust generation. Conveyor belts are covered with corrugated sheet
