framework has been developed. It is a predictive tool based on a fully coupled 1D hydro-thermodynamic numerical model
able to deal with natural, irregular geometries. The governing mathematical problem has been conveniently split into a
convective problem and a diffusion problem in order to carefully describe rapid temperature and discharge variations.
Application of the model can also be of interest to support planning of potential mitigating measures for thermal impacts
on the recipient water body.
